R&D Reports to:
Database Manager A database administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a database.
They will also be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.
DBA also writes and maintains database documentation including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary.
In addition, at iBASEt, DBA will be working closely with R&D developers, IT staff and business analysts.
Requirement:
Design, Install, upgrade, administer, monitor, patch, and clone Oracle9i/11gR2/12c databases in RAC and non-RAC environments.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in design, install, upgrade, administer, monitor, patch, and clone Oracle9i/11gR2/12c databases in RAC and non-RAC environments.
Minimum of five (6) years of experience in troubleshooting large complex production databases for customers Experience with troubleshooting oracle Performance issues and tuning SQL queries using AWR, TKPROF and explain plan.
Experience with design, performance tuning with Oracle.
Experience in writing SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scripting.
Experience in writing data migration scripts.
Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to interact with both non-technical and technical personnel Experience with backup/restore functionality using RMAN.
Thorough Understanding of Monitoring Techniques.
Create monitors and alerts for user sessions, concurrent processes, table extents and locks for production and test/development systems.
Strong experience in optimizing and performance tuning of large RAC clusters would be plus.
Experience in Troubleshooting SQL Server using SQL profiler and using Execution Plan is a plus.
Aptitude to independently learn new technologies.
Any Cloud AWS/ORACLE/AZURE experience is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL is a plus.
Must be US Citizen Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related engineering field.
Database related certifications are strongly preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
