The Supervisor- Inventory Control drives Industrial Logistic team to performing cycle counts and adjustments in order to monitor and maintain an accurate statement of raw material and semi-finished good material on-hand inventory and provides leadership and guidance to ensure accuracy of inventory transactions through the warehouse and production floor.
Develops and implements inventory control procedures.
Trains and manages a team of inventory control staff.
Audits areas and processes as required determining associate and process accuracy.
Verifies inbound shipment accuracy to from suppliers
Verifies material issue accuracy at all processed in scope for Industrial Logistics.
Performs cycle counts including initial counts, recounts, and researches discrepancies.
Performs Inventory adjustments and write-offs as required.
Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Works on continuous improvement projects
Measures and evaluates employee performance according to company standards for quality, productivity, and career advancement.
Ensure that there is an adequate distribution of skills to enable work plan to be achieved effectively.
Stimulate teamwork within his/her departments. Creates a fair and positive environment that fosters a solid work ethic and maintains a good team attitude within the group.
Ensure his/her departments are a safe work environment.
Leads activities to communicate and maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Responsible for any additional duties assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field
3+ years' experience inventory management with 1 year supervisory experience.
2+ years' experience working in a distribution center, warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical skills
Proven track record of individual accomplishment, contribution and team based success.
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, can synthesize problems and easily report them to management
Creative and innovative when looking for solutions for start-up problems, and provides idea's for technical or organizational improvements
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
Developed computer skills in MS Office and ability to learn other systems (SAP).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness and adaptability.
Ability to work flexible hours as requested by Supervisors/Manager

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
