The Harness Design Technician in this position will be responsible perform repairs, fabrication, modification and installation of electrical wiring harnesses, cables, wires, wiring assemblies and associated parts for electrical ground support equipment and flight hardware.
Read and interpret work instructions, schematics, and drawings.
Perform connector pin crimping, soldering, cabling and chassis wiring.
May be utilized in other electrical Integration and Test activities as well, depending on experience and qualifications.
Ensure quality of the hardware is maintained and quality and safety standards and procedures are followed.
Ensure work is done with completeness, accuracy, adherence to operation sheets, ISO procedures, schedules and assigned tasks.
Compile, record, and analyze test data and results to determine conformance to supplied documentation.
Communicate recommendations, issues, and risks to engineers and management and support the engineers in assessing and recommending design modifications.
The candidate must work well with customers, contractors, and hardware engineers to affect the implementation of system requirements.
Required Skills:
Cable harness fabrication and assembly experience, preferably or for a military/aerospace applicationAbility to perform soldering and crimpingKnowledge of tools and equipment to perform required functionsAbility to accomplish complex wiring tasksExperience with various hand tools and test equipment to include:
multi-meters, vector network analyzers, copper certification testers, retention testers, and basic hand tools.
Ability to read, interpret, understand, apply, and enforce engineering, technical, and maintenance specifications, policies, standards and procedures to ensure the quality and safety of assembliesAbility to communicate with the project engineer/designer on any issues pertaining to the taskAbility to work within specific compliance standards and with accepted practices and work assignmentsPreferred
Qualifications:
5
year's experience in UAV or applicable field (robotics, aerospace, medical) as an electric / harness design technicianPC J-STD-001, and/or IPC-620 certification trainingExperience working with program requirements, equipment performance specs, wire connection lists, schematics, wire gauge sizing, connector selection and related cabling and harnessing documentationKnowledge of Electromagnetic Interference, and Electromagnetic Compatibility with respect to electrical designFamiliarity with MIL standards and requirements, AS9100 or ISO 9001Strong problem-solving skillsAbility to work as a team memberMust be capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple systemsAble to plan and prioritize work effort Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
8-10 Years relative work experience.

May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.
Hourly Rate:
$22 - $50Hourly compensation depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions.
In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
